Metabolism:
It is absorbed in small intestine, & metabolism is not clear.
Role:
- Antioxidant activity
- Ant-osteoporotic
- Anti arthritic activity
- Used in treatment of premenstrual syndrome
- Manganese Sulphate:Manganese is needed to build cartilage. We can have substantial levels of Glucosamine but without adequate manganese the production of cartilage grinds to a stop
- Chromium & Magnesium Carbonate play important role in joint hemostasis and help in arthritis prevention.
Deficiency:
Its deficiency cause growth retardation, skeletal & cartilage malformations, impaired reproductive function, congenital ataxia due to abnormal ear development, optic nerve abnormalities impaired insulin metabolism & abnormal glucose tolerance.
